A day doesn't go by that I don't hear about nutrition, collagen, water intake, antioxidants, benefits of sleep and longevity. Along with so much more. I am grateful I have access to so much information at this point in my life. I continue to learn about all things health.
What I do know at this point in my life is that the skin continues to change each year. We may eat healthy, drink our water, take our magnesium, get the right amount of sleep and walk our 30 minutes daily but there is more to the equation.
Signs of aging can be the cause of menopause. Loss of estrogen in the body can create loss of collagen and elasticity in the tissues of the skin. Thru the journey of menopause I am learning more about protein intake. The importance of keeping my bones strong. The list goes on and on.
Sometimes, maintaining a healthy lifestyle feels like a task. It's about the habits and routines I adhere to on a daily or weekly basis.
While working with clients I try and share information that I have learned. I am asked the same questions by clients about maintaining healthy skin. How, why, what and when are normal questions. We are all unique and how we chose to embrace aging is vital.
I am focused on becoming the best version of myself, maintaining strong bones and a healthy body as I age gracefully.
This month, I'm concentrating on bone health. I've discovered that it's essential to be active every day. Stand up and walk. Jumping, skipping, and hopping are now part of my new routines. As I gain more knowledge, I'll share it. The greatest thing is that these new activities make me feel youthful again. They're enjoyable and make me laugh. Who doesn't enjoy a good laugh?
